Another LK Santa finish......

LK
"Here Comes Santa Claus"--Santa '05
stitched on 18 ct aida w/DMC

I started this on our return trip home and finished it this weekend.  I just love these LK Santas and hope to finish stitching the rest of them next year.

Here are just a few more pics of our recent trip.  As you can imagine, pictures cannot capture the beauty of the Irish and Scottish countryside.....
Blarney Castle
Blarney Castle
No.....I didn't kiss the Blarney Stone but my dear hubby did.  Kissing the Blarney Stone is supposed to give you eloquence of speech.  I figured I already had my fair share and would leave it for the less fortunate.
(Really....I just couldn't get over the germs that lay ahead!)

Glencoe 5

Ring of Kerry-1

Started out as a foggy morning but cleared up by the afternoon.  This was a beautiful drive.

  4. Another LK Santa!! I am going to have to check these out compared to what I have - CRS. This one is really cute!!

Another problem with the Blarney stone, don't you have to lie down and bend back to do said kiss? They would need a crane to get me back up!!

  5. Oh, the history in those photos. You can almost feel the mist coming in. I think Ireland just went on my bucket list!

Your finish is adorable! As I saw the pic - my first thought was - she's not been back a week and already with a finish?!?

  10. I kissed the Blarney Stone on a visit to Ireland about 20 years ago. I wasn't too thrilled that the guy holding me was about 110! I bet health and safety has changed things since I was there!

  18. Cute LK finish!

Great pictures of Scotland. So how "authentic" is the Blarney stone? Is it actually an old stone in the castle or something for the tourists?
And I had no idea that Blarney was a castle. I'm just familiar with the use of "kissing the Blarney stone" to mean BSing around.
