Traveling Pattern ready to travel...

Shakespeare Peddler's "Count Your Blessings"
32 ct. Vintage Buttercream
w/ ST Autumn Thread pack

This was such a fun stitch!  Of course I had to make it my own by "redesigning" the branch.

Translation:  I was too lazy to rip out my mistake so I am pretty sure mine will be unique!

I think I am going to finish it as a little pillow to
sit in my craft room.   It conveys a message
I need to remember each day!

Now it is another lucky stitcher's chance
to stitch this sweet design.

If you would like to be part of this new Traveling
Pattern there are a few rules:

1. Comment on this post, saying you would
like to be part of the Stitcherhood.

2. By leaving this comment, you agree (if you are
chosen) to stitch the design and send it along to the next person in a timely manner. If this means
dropping everything in your rotation to concentrate on this project...so be it. If you can't
bring yourself to do this ~ please don't sign up.

3. You must have an active blog to participate. If you have a blog but never post to it ~ you won't be chosen to be the next stitcher.
 4. This is a giveaway-type Traveling Pattern. That means you must follow it from blogger to blogger to enter each time it is ready to send along. Commenting on this post doesn't make you a guaranteed part of the Stitcherhood.

So far the Traveling Pattern has been stitched by:
 1. Sharon of It's Daffycat, Oklahoma, USA
2. Karen of Karen's Handiwork, South Carolina, USA
3. Are you next?????

If you would like a chance to be the next stitcher please leave a comment! The next stitcher will be chosen on Sunday, March 6th!

Stitching and stashing.....

I had a great day stitching, stashing and snacking with Amy and Nicole!  Both are working on amazing projects....Amy's "Heaven Doth Ask" is amazing and she is soooo close to
being finished and Nicole's "Anniversaries of the Heart" piece is just so pretty that it makes me want to stitch them all too!

I worked on one of my Challenge pieces...

 Blackbird Designs "Moon Garden"

Hope to get a lot done on this one next month so I can get a finish!!!!  My plan was to work on Frederick, but quickly realized my 40 year old eyes can't handle this on weeknights!  So...this is my weekend project.

CHS "Frederick"

So far I have Fred....and hope to have most
of 'erick finished next weekend!

Now on the the good stuff....

I think the goodies from market were better than I expected and I had to show great restraint not to buy it all!  I did pick up the must have BBD "A Stitcher's Journal" and a few other pieces.

But then we discovered DSL's Carriage House
Samplings stash and I went a little crazy!
Amy had a great selection and I could
have easily picked up many more I would
love to have!  I definitely showed restraint here!!!  If you are looking for any of the CHS designs, you may want to try DSL....Amy has a great selection!

February ornament exchange.....

Motif from Jardin Prive "Christmas"
32ct dark red linen w/DMC
Mine  ........&.......  Yours

Happy 25th!  Yes it's that time again.
I had this great red linen I've been wanted
to use and decided to stitch another motif
from the Jardin Prive Christmas design.
Love it!
I will say this was a close one and one
of the exchangers was about to be
disappointed (....that would be me!)
I miscalculated the amount of fabric
needed and it was a close cut when finished
but I was able to piece it together.
So mine is a little smaller but it is done!
Just love it!

This month's lucky
exchange partner is........

Jackie

Hope she likes it as much as I do!
If you want to be my next exchange partner,
you just have to be a follower!

I also got a nice surprise in the mail from Maggee
and will share that with you this weekend!
I do get to spend Saturday with some stitching
buddies so hopefully I will actually get

Fun stuff......

First....I was excited to learn I am the next lucky stitcher for Daffycat's new travelling pattern.  It came in the mail today and I wasted no time getting everything together.

 Shakespeare Peddler's "Count Your Blessings"

I decided to stitch this on 32 ct. LL Vintage
Buttercream w/ Sampler Threads Autumn Pack.
The threads have been patiently waiting to be used so this is their lucky day.  I hope to get this one stitched quickly so I can too offer up to another lucky stitcher.  Stay tuned......

Second......hubby and I were cleaning out the garage and I ran across some old goodies I had packed away!  I loved Ziggy in my "earlier " years and used to collect them.
I just had to pull out these little guys for
Valentine's, St. Patrick's, and Easter.

Aren't they the cutest?
Check out the bunny slippers on the Easter Ziggy... precious!

Well...I also found an old Ziggy cross stitch
booklet....remember these from the 80's?
(Yes...I have others too!)

Hope your day is special!

I just couldn't resist this one witht the sweet sentiment and bright colors.  Gotta love these DMC classic colors....743, 970, 945, 349, 702 and 898!  So this one will be waiting in the wings and yes....it will be stitched on good ol' Aida.

As always...thanks for visiting.  I do appreciate your comments and am amazed how many laughs and smiles I get from them.
Stitching friends are the best!
Hope you have a great stitching weekend...

Happy Valentine's Day.....

The Stitcherhood "Love" freebie
Stitched on 32 ct. chocolate brown linen
w/DMC

I picked this fabric up last fall and just love
pink and brown together. I had just enough time
to stitch this cute design so I could use my fabric.
Reminds me of a chocolate bar...
don't think I can keep this one out all the time!

Hope you have had a very happy
Valentine's Day
and are enjoying sweet stitches today!!!

BBD "Autumn Silouhette" .....

BBD "Autumn Silouhette"
Stitched on 35ct WDW Parchment
w/ Victorian Motto's "Autumn"

My second Challenge finish!

I love the Victorian Motto thread and
am so glad I stitched this in red.
The design called for WDW Swamp Water
but I think the red suits it much better.

One down and many to go....
I hope to have several red samplers
displayed in my kitchen one day!

I think I am now going to work Frederick.
I really want to finish this one so I can
have him and Frederika framed.
Hope you are having a great week!

Happy stitching....

Valentine's stitching and finishing....

Last year, I made a cute pin cushion using a motif from BBD's "Truly Thine" and I decided to whip up a few more for this year.  I have so much fabric so I picked out my backing material first and then got to stitching.

Stitched on 32 ct linen in variety of colors

Unfortunately, my math skills have deteriorated over the last year and they turned out much larger this year that the one I made myself.  Oh well....they will still serve the purpose!  I plan on sharing these with a few stitching friends in blogland!

While I had the sewing machine out I decided I would do the finishing on my latest LK....

LK "Where's the Party"

I just love this little design and think he will stay out all year.  The finishing fabric is perfect colorwise for this one.  Wish I had bought more since I now can't remember where I got it!

Thanks for all your wonderful comments on my "Her Sampler" finish.  Some commented about the design and I believe you can still purchase it from Carriage House Samplings website since Kathy's sister, took over the design business.

As always, I do appreciate you taking the time to visit.  I hope you are having a great weekend with many happy stitches....
