Oops....

Thought I was through with 2010?  Well...I forgot to post 2 finishes that were gifts for some great stitching friends....

 "Needles & Scissors" freebie
Designer: Sandy in MT
Log Cabin Needleworks

I forgot to take a picture of this one so I had to steal it from Amy's blog.  I just love this design...best part is it's a freebie! (Make sure you get it...it is great to have in your stash!) I know Amy loves Christmas ornaments but thought this would make a cute pincushion for her.  I'm so glad she liked it.

LK "Stitching Friends"
Stitched on 25 ct evenweave over 1
w/ Sampler Threads

I wanted to say thank you to Kim for her year long stitching in the Stitching Friends exchange.  I love LK and hope she will like this little finish.

Last exchange from Kim B......

Waiting in my mailbox today was my last package for the Stitching Friends exchange from Kim .....

all neatly wrapped in this festive paper....

was this great ornament she stitched for me and I
couldn't wait to add it to my tree!  I just love the little bell detail at the bottom.

I love way she finished the back and personalized the ribbon on the back with our names.
Isn't that the neatest idea?  Just love it.....

She also included these goodies which will be put to good use but when I saw this goodie I was giddy like a school girl....

I just love Lizzie Kate and couldn't believe she had sent me this older design, which I don't have!  This will definitely be stitched soon!

Thanks Kim for such a great year of exchanges and I treasure all of the stitched goodies!

Exchange from Kim....WOW!

Look at the beautiful box I received from Kim B  for the Stitching Friends Through Seasons

Bent Creek "Autumn Arches"
(Stitched over one...can you believe it?)

Oh my goodness....I could not believe my eyes when I opened this.  I just love Bent Creek, especially their older designs, and this is one of my favorites that I have just never gotten around to stitching.  Kim stitched this over one and I can't believe how much it changed the "look" of the design.  It will fit just perfectly by my stitching chair.

I was giddy when I opened it to reveal these neatly wrapped little treasures!

She included a Gentle Arts Harvest thread pack, pins, buttons, ribbon and a cute pair of tiny scissors!

I also have to share this little detail.....

Kim used scrapbook paper to personalize the inside of the box....how sweet!  Needless to say, this was a great mail day.

Thanks for all of your wonderful comments and I do appreciate you giving me a few minutes of your day!  Well...in a little over a week I will by flying across the ocean and can't believe I haven't even packed...my stitching!  As we all know, it takes time to evaluate and coordinate what stitching goodies I should take...
guess I better get busy!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and have many happy stitches...

Friends Seasonal Exchange....

I received a wonderful package from Kim B today for the Friends Stitching Through the Seasons summer exchange....

Sampler Girl's "Molly Pitcher 1778"

This is my first Sampler Girl design and I just love it. Kim could not have picked a better design for me and I love how she finished it. Better yet...take a look at the back.....

OMG....I am so stealing this idea from Kim.

And last but not least....

She also sent some great goodies! I just love Americana and will definitely put it all to good use.

I also heard from Michele that she received my package.....

SB "Summer" on 28ct coffee-dyed evenweave

I don't know why I was so "challenged" on the finishing on this one, but it definitely looked like I had help from my 1-year old nephew! Michele liked it (she's so nice!) so I am glad.

No new stitching to show since it is all for exchanges, but I am excited about a RR I am stitching with
Amy, Faye, and Nicole. We are each stitching squares from PS "Friends" and "More Friends". I love the designs and can't wait to get going.

P.S. .........
I have to send out a big shout to my Clemson Tigers, who beat #1 seed Arizona State today in the CWS! Go Tigers and good luck tomorrow against Oklahoma!

Exchange from Kim B.....

I was so excited to receive a package when I arrived home tonight from Kim B. for the Friends Stitching Through the Seasons exchange....

These are the pretty packages I unwrapped (in a colorfully decorated mailing box)...don't you love the tissue paper? (I apologize in advance to my partner for my packaging but promise to be more creative in the future!) The card itself was very pretty and springy....

I was like a kid on Christmas morning feverishly unwrapping all of my goodies! And the best part was this.....

BBD "Bird in Hand" stitched w/ CC Tyler Boy Blue
(Kim's son picked the color...he has wonderful taste!)

Isn't this so pretty?!?!?! Kim didn't include the designer/design information but I will definitely find out. (You stitchers are so smart!) I love the finishing and forgot to take a pic of the back...too cute! My hubby loved it too so it was prominently displayed in our family room! But that wasn't all...I got these goodies too!

I love the LK design she included and will definitely be stitching this one real soon for Easter. Unfortunately, the sheep egg filled with Kisses didn't last past the opening of said goodies! This is a new exchange group and am excited over this first package! Thanks Kim!

I have also been stitching and finally started CHS "Frederika"...

This pic is so light ( I hate my camera!) but I am stitching it on the recommended 40 ct. Pearled Barley with DMC. This is my first project on 40 ct and have to send a big shoutout to Nicole who saved me with an older pair of reading glasses she had! OMG....what a difference...feels like I'm stitching on 14 count! Now that I'm finished with the border, I think the rest will go pretty quickly.

Oh well....I am off to admire my new goodies and read a few blogs! Happy stitching....
