Sweet Valentine giveaway....

As soon as I saw this valentine freebie
I couldn't wait to stitch it.   Although
it is a sweet Valentine, I was excited
to see the crowns.   I'm sure many of
you have seen Tanya's crown pins and
really wanted some for myself.    I had
 picked up some brass crown
embellishments at Michael's and
couldn't get my bead glue out fast enough!

Stitched on 32ct Lakeside Linen Buttercream
w/ Victorian Motto thread

I did change the thread colors since I also
wanted to use some Victorian Motto cluny
lace in my finishing.  It only took one episode of
Law & Order to get this one done so I
decided to stitch it again.

I really don't need two of them so I am giving one
a way to one of my followers.   Just leave a
comment by Friday (include your email if
it isn't in your profile) and I will pick a
winner Saturday morning.

Of course I had to buy extras of the crown
embellishments so I will send the winner some
of these so you can make your own crown pins!

If you are close to a Michael's, check out these
brass embellishments.   There are 5 in the
pack and for $2.00 you just can't beat it.   Not
only did they have crowns, but they had
birds, keys, and fleur de lis.

Well...I hope you had a great stitching weekend.
I am now off to pick up needle and thread too!
Happy stitching....

Edit:  I had to cut on word verification due to the spam.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Homespun Elegance goodies....

May has been a lucky month!
One of my favorite blogs is

(Homespun Elegance)

and she was celebrating her 500 followers
with a great giveaway and sale!    Lucky me won
her giveaway and look at the goodies I got....

I have a large collection of Homespun Elegance
but was delighted that I had none of these!

Sandra also included these goodies.
The little sheep is just precious.

As soon as I saw the bookmark design, I
immediately recognized it.  I have had the
Sheltering Tree in the my basket for a very
long time.   I think this is a sign that it is time
stitch it!  If you haven't checked
she always has some great offerings.

Evidenced by the abundance of HE designs
I own, Sandra has always been one of my
favorite designers.   The "colonial" feel to her
designs is timeless.   To extend the celebration
on her blog, she offered a very generous sale
on her designs so I seized the opportunity
to add to my collection.

Land of Peace & Plenty

This has to be one of all time favorites.
Originally published in 1990, Sandra decided to
reprint some of her OOP designs and this one
is now available.   This one is timeless to me and
I can't wait to get it stitched.   I think it has also
helped me decide on the fabric choice for
Plum Street's Colonial Garden.
You will just have to wait and see!

I have been busy stitching so I will be
back soon with some finishes.
Hope you have a great stitchy day....

An Ornament Giveaway.....

Want to me my last
"Ornament Exchange" partner?

I just couldn't wait until the 25th to
do my December ornament "exchange" so I
decided to mix it up and make it a giveaway!
Just in time to adorn this year's tree!

Dec ornament
"Snowflake" freebie
http://madetotreasure.blogspot.com/
Stitched on 32 ct. blue lugana
w/Victorian Motto

I decided to do the other two snowflakes
from this freebie and love how these
turned out too!   I just had to use the scallop
finish again so I added the border.

So.....want to "exchange" with me this month?
Best part is you don't have to stitch anything.

Just leave a comment on this post and I will
draw a winner on Monday, December 5th!

Guess I better get busy and get that tree!

Goodness...how quickly these months went by!
I truly enjoyed doing this and I plus 12 of
my stitching buddies now have these
new beauties to add to my tree.

All of your lovely comments
certainly gave me that push to keep going.

Hope your holiday season has gotten off
to a good start and your needles are
enjoying some holiday stitching.
