Faye at Carolina Stitcher made some beautiful pincushions a couple of months ago and inspired me to do the same. I decided I would dig through some of my threads I hadn't used and stitched these designs from two of my older magazines.

I bought a variety of Needle Necessities thread about 10 years ago from a needlepoint shop and they have just been sitting there all this time waiting to be used. They are very nice to stitch with so I will be using these a little more in the future.

I love playing with beads and have to admit I enjoyed making the marking pins as much as the pin cushions! I can see more of these in my future!

ReplyDeleteCount me as another who is interested in the type of glue you used to make the marking pins ... I'd like to try a few of these myself. The pincushions are very sweet ... I'll have to dig up some of my forgotten Needle Necessities threads as well.

ReplyDeleteOh, I love these nice little pincushions. Like you I have a collection of overdyed threads that I use only rarely. But they are perfect for little stitched pieces like pincushions and pillows.

ReplyDeleteStunning! I dug that freebie out of my file thanks to Faye, but have I gotten moving on it yet--NO! My excuse is that my fiber hasn't arrived. I ordered--no joke--a 30-yard hank of Belle Soie LE JUST for it. Well, okay, I'll make a quaker in it, too. Roflol.
