LK Finishing....

I am a huge Lizzie Kate fan and was excited when Angela started the Lizzie Kate Lovers blog! I certainly didn't want to be left out so I got my rear in gear and did some finishing so I could post too!

LK "Merry Ho Ho" & "By Golly Be Jolly"

Cubes are my favorite finishing technique since it requires no sewing! I definitely slept through Bow-Tying 101...thank goodness for stick pins! This is only my second flat-fold and it is becoming my second favorite although it does require a little more figurin'!

Just in case you were wondering.....I finished the backs too! :)

I do hope to do some more finishing tomorrow if my mojo can hold out! Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day as we remember our military members!

Happy stitching....

  6. I love LK too and still recognize her after all these years (of not stitching). I'm just getting back into it again, eyes permitting, and love your stitching. :)

  7. Great finishing, Karen! I love cubes, too, because of the no-sew factor. One of these days, I'll learn how to do a flat fold. Hope mine come out as well as yours!

  8. Love the finishes. I look forward to doing a few more cubes ... I've only actually finished one but have a handful of finishes that I want to finish that way.

  13. I seen your wonderful pic of this on the thumbnail I have on my blog list and clicked on it immediately! I love these!! You did an excellent job with the finishing!! I have done By Golly Be Jolly and it was so much fun. Another one I have done is Just Be Claus. I am still trying to find the finishing fabric that I bought for that one! Another one I'd like to do is the one where Santa is wearing stripped pj's and is holding a lantern. I think that one is called To All A Good Night? I just love that one too! Wouldn't these Santa's look cute as Christmas purses?

  16. Very festive ... both are beautifully stitched and finished. I have never tried a cube finish ... and have always sewn rather than pinned or glued my finishes ... but with all the buzz about cubes, I may finally have to try one!

  21. Oh Karen, you are far away from any stitching and finishing slump, aren't you?! Lol. So many finishes lately. I have just admired the ornaments and Carolina that you show in your last posts. And now even some more finished pieces. Congratulations.
