Comedy of errors.....that about sums up this month's exchange!
LK "Christmas Treats"
stitched over 1 25 ct. white evenweave
with DMC and overdyed
I have always loved this design
and thought I might change it up a bit!
Nothing says Christmas to me like red and
white and I do like the way it turned out.
I had this great backing fabric too that
I wanted to use. Despite my issues from
thread bleeding to finishing, I am at
least happy to say they are done.

On a side note, I made a quick trip to the

weekend and was excited to see this....

Works great for both paper and fabric!
Upon closer inspection, I notice something is
amiss. Seems there is a little chunk of land
missing between Beaufort & Charleston
.... beach erosion maybe???
I guess I can live with it.

Wonderful ornies as usual! That's pretty funny about the chunk of land missing lol! I"ve been looking at maps of NC and SC a lot with the hurricane coming, so I can see it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous ornaments. Just lovely. Beach erosion...that's too funny.
ReplyDeleteI have not the slightest clue which one you'll send off. I like both of the backings.
Love the changes you made to the ornament. So cute. And the SC die is too funny!
ReplyDeleteCute ornaments. Love them.

ReplyDeleteLovely ornaments for this month, so sweet.
ReplyDeleteOMG I did the same thing with an ornament last year. I don't think anyone really noticed except me.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that one will be uniquely yours! and will always be a reminder of that 'bad' day at work. Pretty AND special!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute pick for your August ornament giveaway, Karen! I think we've all done the sewing the backing fabric on the wrong way thing :) They both look great!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the ornaments, Karen! Hope you & yours stay safe during the storm and that the die isn't foretelling what's to come. ;) Is foretelling a word?? I'm going with it... Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteOH NO! LOL! I can certainly see why you put that warning note in there. Despite that little change-up, I'd say they're adorable and Nicole will love hers :o)
ReplyDeleteThey are both adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe backing fabric is cuteand goes perfectly with the design!
Oh well stuff happens! lol I've done that kind of thing but luckily I caught it before going further into the finishing and was able to rip it out and start over.
I cant tell you how many times I have used the wrong side of the fabric. I had to invest in a superduper sharp and pointy seam ripper.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it looks lovely and i love the changes you made!
Your ornaments took wonderful - As always ;)
ReplyDeleteCute ornies, and I"m sorry about the bleeding issue you had. Still, if they aren't both visible at the same time, no one will notice!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen ~ I'm excited to see that gem in person!
ReplyDeleteAwesome ornies!! I'm a big lover of green so of course I'm partial to the one with green fabric. :)
