Two new starts.....

Well....I received my chart from DSL and will be joining the My Lady's Quaker SAL on Sept. 1st. Since I had some free time, I decided to start something new. After seeing Patti's finished SB "She Tends", I decided to move it to the top of my pile. I had it kitted ready to stitch as four separate designs, but loved hers stitched as one so I decided to do the same.

I love stitching it and love the colors. However, my short attention span got the best of me Friday night and I decided to start BBD "Moonlit Garden". I got tired of all the color changes and wanted something simpler.

I just love this design and the colors in this one too. Good thing is both are so different, when I get tired of stitchin one, I can easily pick up the other.

Oh well....off to stitch for the last little bit of weekend. Thanks for looking and happy stitches

HE "Autumn Welcome" and SAL update....

Homepun Elegance "Autumn Welcome"
Stitched on coffee-dyed 28 ct. linen and WDW threads

This was another quick stitch and I finished it into this little pillow! My little autumn collection is getting sorta crowded so I think I will stitch some more ornaments for the Pals convention.

TUSAL new moon update.....better late than never!

The new moon was Saturday and here is my "progress". Can't believe we only have a few more months to go. Well....off to figure out what to stitch next!

Happy stitches.

Couple more autumn finishes....

Thank you so much for your comments on my latest finishes. Did I mention I love autumn designs? After going through my stash and pulling out 12+ designs, I found these two quick stitches.

Bent Creek "Autumn Zipper"
Stitched this kit last week and finished it into a little pillow this weekend. It is stitched on 18 ct linen, which I found more difficult than it should have been to stitch. It was like stitching a croaker sack. Think it turned out cute and can't wait to display in my office.

JABC "Winds Of Autumn"

I loved this design as soon as I saw it in my LNS and finally got around to stitching it. Aren't those the cutest buttons? It was a very quick stitch and I now have to figure out how to finish it.

Yes...I have already started another autumn design from Homespun Elegance and it too should be a quick stitch. Oh well.....better get back to stitching. Happy stitches!

While reviewing my stash, I came across these "vintage" BC Zipper kits. I know I will never stitch them so I am offering them for sale. Since I am not savvy enough to add the captions to the pics, the kit names are beginning from top left to bottom right.

3. Made in the USA Zipper
4. Patriotic Santa Zipper
5. Christmas Globe Zipper
6. Bluebird Zipper
7. Snowman Globe Zipper

Each kit is $10 each plus S&H complete with zipper pouch containing graph, 18 ct linen, fiber and embelishments. Interested? Drop me an email (in my profile) and I can give you the particulars.

Happy stitching...

Autumn & Halloween finishes....

I have been busily stitching my exchange Christmas ornaments for the Pals convention, but couldn't resist stitching some autumn and halloween goodies. I just love autumn...though it practically skips South Carolina each year.

Homespun Elegance "Autumn Time"
Stitched on 32 ct coffee-dyed linen

I had this little frame and finished it right away. Just too cute!

SB "Be Witch"
Stitched on 14 ct. coffee-dyed aida

I just love this series from SB and this one stitched up pretty quick. Isn't this the cutest...though my camera skills have turned a light brown fabric into white. Can't decide whether to finish as a cube or treat bag or pillow...guess it will depend on whether I feel like dragging out the sewing machine. We shall see....

Thanks for all your comments on my needlebook. Thank goodness for all of the wonderful blogs with finishing instructions...made it very easy. I can't wait to try another but I have to stitch something first!

I also must report that the recipient of the Petite Rainbow Row was over the moon with the gift and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic of it framed but will do so next time I visit it.

Oh well...off to stitch. Work is extremely busy right now with all of the college students reporting back to school so it will probably be an early evening.

Happy stitches.....

My first needlebook....

Well....not too bad for my first attempt! I made this needlebook for Jan for a LK Exchange and was pleased with the results....

My sewing skills are something to be desired so I definitely had to use my noggin for this one. I even figured out to make two little pockets inside but still can't sew in a straight line! Jan liked it and I certainly enjoyed stitching and finishing it for her.

Thanks for looking...happy stitches....

Finished "Joy in the Journey"....

Thank you for some many wonderful comments on Rainbow Row....it is now at the framers and can't wait to see it "finished".

More importantly .............I have my third finish in one week! This amazing for me! After Rainbow Row, I was itching to start something new, but decided to stick with my latest WIP and finished it up today. I loved stitching this and can't wait to get it framed.

Diane Williams "Joy in the Journey"
FTLOCS July 1999
Stitched on 18 ct. white w/ DMC

Now...I can get busy stitching my Pals exchange items for the October convention. I have several things ready to go and now I just have to start stitching.

Happy stitches .....
