With the luck of the Irish I have another
Crazy Challenge finish.....
Goode Huswife "Tree of Life"
28ct mystery linen
w/recommended DMC
Love the border on this design....stitching it????
Not so much!
This was my Jan. 1st start so I decided I would pick it up next. It was a pretty quick finish and is in the same color family as The Bird Tree.
I thought I would get bored stitching with the same colors over and over but I find that I want to stitch more! I do have a couple of exchanges to stitch so my next Goode Huswife finish
will just have to wait!

Happy St. Patrick's Day
Did you know that Dublin has 750 pubs ?
We didn't make it to all of them....but gave a valiant effort!!!!
Hubby and I just love this "holiday" and have celebrated all of our years together. Here we enjoy a pint at the Guinness Storehouse on our trip to Ireland last fall. I certainly couldn't let the day pass without enjoying a pint of the velvety goodness so we did venture out to one of our local pubs tonight to enjoy a pint or two!
It seems South Carolinians have been enjoying a good pint for quite awhile!

As always....thanks for visiting my blog. I do love reading all of your comments and am thankful you take the time to visit my piece of the cyber world! I am off to New Orleans for business a few days but hope to find plenty of time to stitch!!!
Hope you have a great weekend...happy stitching!
What a super gorgeous finish Karen! This one is on my "must stitch soon" list. The border is just what makes it so neat. Congrats on your finish!
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day!
xoxo
Love your finish!!! Hope you had a wonderful day enjoying your pints!
ReplyDeleteWonderful finish! I agree that the border is beautiful (as is the rest of it) and can see how it might not be the most fun to stitch. A lot of the Goode Huswife projects appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteyour piece is so pretty, I love the colors
ReplyDeleteI think your piece is great and I really love that border, although I bet it was a little bit of a pain to do, but so well worth it.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your pints today!
What a lovely finish! I think I have to stop reading your blog as all your finishes keep enabling me to look for the patterns! Our tastes are very similar and you have so many wonderful finishes!
ReplyDeleteThankyou!
You are turning the finishes out right and left! lol! This is just lovely! I can see why you love the border -- but might not enjoy stitching it! :D You and your DH are so cute together, celebrating St. Patrick's Day! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteA lovely finish. Hope you enjoyed your evening.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish! I imagine that border was a nightmare to stitch but it looks fabulous
ReplyDeleteI love your Tree of Life finish and I've just looked through my stash and have this pattern. I see you stitched yours over two on 28 count but am wondering if I dare try over one, it would turn out really small.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the finish :) how many more to do ??? and hope you had a lovely evening celebrating the holiday :) love mouse xxxx
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another finish from the Crazy Challenge - it's lovely! Hope you enjoyed that Guinness yesterday!
ReplyDeleteStunning finish on the Tree of Life - I can imagine that border being a nightmare to stitch but it looks gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteDublin is a wonderful place to visit - I'd love to go back.
Have a safe trip to New Orleans.
The Tree of Life is gorgeous. I tend to stay away from stitching that kind of border, but I do love the appearance.
ReplyDeleteHope you had fun celebrating yesterday!
Congratulations on the finish, Karen! I love it--the colors are great. I'll toast your finish with a pint of the black stuff. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow another GH, lovely and congratulations. Ireland has indeed a lot of Pubs, when I lived there we used to frequent them only at weekends LOL.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the finish! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteLove your latest finish, Karen! And the photo of you and our husband is wonderful--you can tell by your big smiles how much fun you were having!
ReplyDeleteGreat finish Karen!! I can't believe how fast you stitched it!! You are really on a roll. I love that picture of you and your hubby! So cute!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy couple! and what a beautiful piece is your Tree of Life. For some reason you inspire some of us to stash instead of stitch and you certainly inspired me to get out Moon Garden last time. have a happy safe trip!
ReplyDeletehugs,
babs
The border (and finish!) is great! Cheers to you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou create such beautiful works! Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on another beautiful finish Karen! You are just flying through your WIPs ;o)
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's Day to you too and glad you enjoyed a good pint.
Great finish Karen! The boarder is really nice, but I can see why it might be a pain to stitch! lol Hope you enjoyed a Guinness yesterday, I know I did! I had no idea it had been around in the US that long either.
ReplyDeleteLove your new work--the border IS gorgeous, however. I keep remembering what you said about the palette of GH and CHS. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and DH look great! I was hanging with a friend and totally missed the chance to have one myself! I am not much of a drinker particularly beer (not a fan of the carbonation, and they pretty much all taste like olives to me...) but I love Guinness! Smooth and rich yet refreshing! We have a set of friends who loves to drink car bombs, so that's always a good time, too! :D
P.S. Why is my comment all exclamation points?(!) Sorry 'bout that!
ReplyDeleteYour piece is fantastic, especially the border which does look tough! I hope you enjoyed your St Patty's celebration!
ReplyDeleteGH is such a pretty finish, love the colors and that border is something else.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors in this piece. Great finish!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable picture of you and your husband! :) Oh, I love that stitched piece, Karen..absolutly beautiful! You have really been finishing a lot of stuff.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish!
ReplyDelete(Although the border makes me think of hot-dogs...)
Gorgeous finish Karen! You're making great progress on your challenge pieces.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your St. Patrick's Day. Those pints are making me thirsty and it's far too early in the day for that!
The challenge has been a good one for you - all these great finishes! Cheers, my friend. It may be green throughout the weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like the cross stitch design that you did. It would make a nice design translated to fabric for an applique project also.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the finish! you have some smokin needles!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish! Love that border!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely time celebrating this holiday and congrats on such a lovely finish. Can't wait to see the next project :)
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely finish Karen :)
ReplyDeleteSuper pic of you and hubby on your trip, enjoy your trip this time
ReplyDeleteA lovely finish
