"Dampy Sod"....

And then there were 9.....

Primitive Needle Dampy Sod
Primitive Needle "Dampy Sod"
Stitched on 40ct. Purely Primitive w/
WDW and Sampler Threads

.....Crazy Challenge finishes that is.

I have been stitching on and off for a
couple of months on this design and decided it
was time to finish it.   I loved this saying the
first time I saw it and like it even more now
that it is finished.  This was my first design
from Lisa but not my last.

Now up on the q-snaps will be BBD "It's Berry Time".  I have been stitching on this one by and by also so hopefully I can finish it this week.

Six months into this challenge, I do have an
observation.  I was usually a one project girl so I
was a little nervous when I decided to do it.  It
would normally drive me crazy to have more
than one or two big WIP at a time.

Boy have I changed!

I love having so many great choices when I pick up my stitiching bag.  If I get tired of one, I just have to reach in for another.  Even better, I have finished some designs that have been languishing in my "To Do" pile for years.  In short, I think I have been more productive this year and hope to keep up this "rotation" going forward.  Even though I have 6 remaining in my bag, I am already looking ahead at my next 15!

Unfortunately my "To Frame" pile has grown
but that is a problem I don't mind having!

As always, thanks for visiting and all of your
wonderful comments.  They do make me smile.
Happy stitching.....and stay cool!

  1. Wonderful finish! That's so interesting about how the crazy challenge has changed your style of stitching. I still don't think I could handle more than one project at a time, but who knows. lol! You're really tearing through those challenge projects!

  2. Wow - two finishes in a week, and both beautifully done! The challenge certainly has worked for you - way to go!

  3. Nice finish! I have been thinking about the challenge also... that it will probably be a 2-year challenge. I put too many barely started large pieces into it, and don't see them all being finished this year, with 4 birthdays in August, then the retreat, then holiday stitching... Nope, aint gonna happen this year! But--I will finish them! Hugs.

  4. I just sent you an e-mail saying that I couldn't wait to see your next finish, but I didn't think it'd be this quick! ;) It looks GREAT!! Congratulations on a beautiful finish.

You go girl on branching out with having more WIPs than you're used to. You've accomplished a lot this year!

I can't wait to see your BBD--I need to start that one this summer. Nothing says summer more than berries!

  6. Gorgeous! Congrats on your finish!

I'm glad to hear that the January Crazy Challenge has been a positive experience for you. I had hoped that it would accomplish what it had intended instead of generating a bigger pile of UFOs. I only stitch on a few things at a time and finishing 15 in a year is impossible for me with my work schedule and my other hobbies. Goals are good though, I and I did make some to make sure I continued to make progress.

  8. Good for you Karen for getting out of your comfort zone!

I used to have all kinds of projects going on all the time, but the last couple of yrs. I've enjoyed working on one or two at a time till I finish them, otherwise I find myself 'starting' more than 'finishing', but I see that hasn't happened w/you!!LOL

  13. What a gorgeous finish. Just lovely. Looks like you'll be successful with the 15 challenges.
I do have multiple wip's but I keep them down to a for me workable size. If there is another 15 Wip challenge next year, I might join in though...lol

  16. LOL, you've created a monster! I love having choices too, although mine are more strictly organized. I have an eighteen project rotation, and most of them are BAPs. I've never been called faint of heart, lol. Here's hoping you finish up your challenge pieces by the end of the year, and can get them all framed!
