First finish of 2009....

Happy Dance!!!!! This is a UFO from I believe early 1998. It was a SAL started with the Pals Cross Stitch group and for some reason I just never finished it. I only had the backstitching left to do so that is probably the main culprit. I picked this up earlier in the week and finally made the decision to finish it in the new year! Fortunately, I had a pink mat and frame so was able to finish it ready to hang. I take this as a sign that this will be a great stitching year and it is already off to a great start. Thanks for looking.

  1. WTG Karen! It's lovely :) congrats on the finish!

  2. Congratulations on your finish! You will be my inspiration! My Celtic Christmas from 1999 still isn't done but it's on the list for 2009!

  3. It is beautiful Karen. Great job. You are inspiring me to get my PV patterns out and pick one to start.

  4. Beautiful work! I came across your blog today. I have added you to my blog roll, hope you don't mind. Would love for you to add me to yours too!!! I will be back!!!

  5. Karen Happy dancing with you.. this is beautiful..
This a UFO in my stash *sigh* maybe this year.. I just love Paula Vaughn patterns they are so beautiful and romantic...I just love the bride and garden series.

  6. This piece worked out perfectly! It must be kizmet that you had the matting and frame ready - spooky!

Thanks for sharing your blog site - I would like to come back and see what you are up to.

  7. Beth...

The frame is a 12 * 12 frame from Walmart I had bought a couple of years ago. My local LNS went of business last year and I bought a ton of their mats. The problem now is I have to find stitching to match the rest!!!!

  8. A beautiful finish...Paula Vaughan...I just love her patterns and I think I have just about every last one of them :)

Who doesn't love a good comment....or a bad one for that matter! Thanks a bunch for visiting my little piece of the stitching universe! If you're new, I will be sure to visit you too.
