JBW Designs "Starry,Starry Night,Little By Little "Christmas Joy", HIH "Woodland Noel"
1998 JCS Ornament issue
1998 JCS Ornament issue
Here is this month's installment for my "exchange". With summer setting in "some" of us were a little "lazy" in our stitching but I won't call any names. Let's just say I expect more from myself next month! I am missing the charm for the Woodland Noel and will have to look for something suitable. The design called for a Heart in Hand charm but I think I will look for a rustic heart.
Thanks so much for visitng my blog and all of your great comments on my last posts. I do enjoy reading them and feel like I am "visiting" with friends!
We are on our way tonight to the Hampton Co. Watermelon Festival, SC oldest continuing. Hope to have some cold, juicy melon! Stay cool and happy stitching....

What great ornaments! I always want to go stitch a few after I see what you've done each month.
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence! I was just looking through my older JCS ornament magazines last night and those were some of the exact ones I want to stitch, along w/a bunch of others!! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are way ahead of me! :))

Eat some melon for me! Yum!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes Karen!!
Wah! I really want some ornaments for the tree this year--but it's already June! :O
ReplyDeleteWhat shall I do if another year comes with no ornies at Chez Bunny-Bear!?
lol they look great and enjoy those melons!
Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteLovely ornie finishes!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ornaments Karen. Have fun at the festival - I am going to go to the farmer's market tomorrow and find me a watermelon too. :o)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I love the finishing you chose for each. The frayed edges are really cute. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat ornaments ... I really like the HIH one ... terrific finishing on all of them. Reminds me I need to get cracking on my Bride's Tree SAL ornaments: I still need to assemble the May ornament and stitch the June one ... and there aren't all that many days left in the month!
ReplyDeleteThese all look wonderful! I love that Starry, Starry Night ~ how darling it is!
ReplyDeleteI love these ornaments! The Little by Little one really caught my eye -- but her designs always do!
ReplyDeleteLook at those sweet ornies that you've gifted yourself with :)
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it feel GREAT?!?!?!
I've been having a hankering for some melon myself. We're going down home this weekend and I hope maybe the sands has some ready for us!
Love your ornaments! Your tree will be packed this Christmas if you keep up this pace.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely ornaments Karen! That Little by Little one has really caught my eye now that I've seen yours stitched and finished.
ReplyDeleteHope you'd a good time at the festival!
great ornaments!!!! I love them all. Oh, 1998 issue. No wonder I don't recognize them! That is ONE OF TWO that I do not own!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!!!
I guess by now you have had your fill of watermelon!! How awesome is that/?? I can smell that wonderful melon from here!!
ReplyDeleteYour ornaments are darling and I agree, a rustic embellishment would be perfect!!
Try to stay cool my friend, Faye
Don't you love making ornaments, Karen?! Yours are all wonderful--keep on inspiring me!
ReplyDeleteWonderful ornaments Karen! You've done a lovely job and your tree will be extra festive this year!
ReplyDeleteThey're so cute!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Three more to add to your growing collection :o)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the festival and eats lots of watermelon for me :o)
Oh these are nice, Karen... I am so way behind on my Christmas ornaments. This was a motivation for me to start.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty ornaments, congrats on the finishes.
ReplyDeleteI love those ornaments. I always forget what great ones are in those JCS Issues!
ReplyDeleteYou are going to have the most gorgeous Christmas tree this year!!! I am so impressed with your "exchange group", they are doing a wonderful job. I surely don't think that they look like they were being lazy!
ReplyDeleteVery cute ornaments ~ lovely work! Need to dig out my JCS magazines...
ReplyDeleteAll 3 ornaments look great! If that's lazy, I don't know what I would be because my ornaments don't usually even make it to finished form! lol I know practice makes perfect, but my less than perfect finishing skills make me put it off.
ReplyDeleteLove your ornies and beautiful finishing! You stay cool, too!
ReplyDeleteOoh - love these ornaments and your exchange!
ReplyDeleteAll three of these ornaments are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou did a beautiful job on both stitching and finishing.
